1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using LaneDuel ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

LaneDuel is an unofficial community project and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Riot Games, Inc.

2. Service Description

LaneDuel is a community-run platform for League of Legends players to compete in 1v1 and 2v2 lane duel matches. The Service provides:

  • Skill-based matchmaking for custom lane duel games
  • The LaneDuel Rating (LDR) — a community-created skill metric
  • Leaderboards and match history

The LDR is not your official League of Legends rank or MMR. It is a separate, unofficial community rating that measures 1v1 and 2v2 lane performance only. It has no effect on your ranked games.

3. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use LaneDuel.
  • You must have a valid, active League of Legends account.
  • You must comply with Riot Games' Terms of Service at all times.

4. Your Account

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You may create only one account per person. Duplicate accounts may be removed.
  • You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Cheat or manipulate results — including falsely reporting match outcomes, using scripts, or exploiting bugs
  • Boost or sell accounts — artificially inflating your LDR is prohibited
  • Harass other players — abusive, threatening, or discriminatory behavior is not tolerated
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent suspensions or bans
  • Interfere with the Service — including DDoS attacks, scraping, or unauthorized API access
  • Violate any applicable laws or Riot Games' Terms of Service

6. Match Rules and Disputes

Both players must report the same match result for it to be recorded. In the event of a dispute (conflicting reports), the match may be marked as disputed and reviewed manually. Repeated bad-faith reporting may result in account suspension.

Screenshots may be requested as proof of match results. LaneDuel reserves the right to make final decisions on disputed matches.

7. Riot Games

LaneDuel uses the Riot Games API in accordance with Riot Games' Developer Policies. Use of LaneDuel does not grant any special privileges within League of Legends.

League of Legends, Riot Games, and all related names, logos, and trademarks are the exclusive property of Riot Games, Inc. LaneDuel is not produced by, endorsed by, or affiliated with Riot Games.

Your use of League of Legends remains subject to Riot Games' Terms of Service.

8. Intellectual Property

The LaneDuel name, logo, and website design are our intellectual property. League of Legends game data, champion names, and related assets are owned by Riot Games. You may not reproduce or redistribute LaneDuel's interface or branding without permission.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that LDR ratings accurately reflect real skill.

LaneDuel is a community project operated without profit motive. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Account Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently ban accounts that violate these Terms, at our sole discretion and without prior notice in cases of serious violations. Appeals may be sent to support@laneduel.gg.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date will reflect any changes. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
